 The
Wagner Ensemble provides:
- community
outreach by offering performances of its
Annual Concert Series, serving the Los Angeles
and Pasadena, California areas, with affordable
ticket prices and free or discounted tickets to
targeted community organizations;
- opera
choruses for the Opera-In-Concert,
Pasadena Ambassador Auditorium Gold Medal Series
for years 1991-1994 including: Strauss' The
Gypsy Baron, Smetana's The Bartered
Bride, Kalman's Countess Maritza, and
Lehar's The Count of Luxembourg; and for
the Opera Guild of Southern California, the
French Connection-2000 Studio Project including
Berlioz' Beatrice et Benedict at Colburn
School, Zipper Hall in Los Angeles, July 2000
- collaborative
performances with: the University of Southern
California School of Music, Harp, Horns &
Voices, 1993; Collage Dance Theatre in the
world premiere of Liquid Assets,
performed at Grand Performance Summer season, Los
Angeles' California Plaza, 1998; and Americana
fiddler Richard Greene, in our concert, American
Retrospective, 2000.
- collaborations
with modern composers in performance of their
works such as Adrienne Albert, Meditation for
Carole Keiser, a memorial; Russell Horton, Rat
Riddles, Five Cent Balloons, Names, Spring Grass,
Evening Waterfall; Dan Foliart, Rhapsody;
Keith Clark, Psalm of the Sea; Edward
Cansino, Songs and Canons for Five Voices.
